Our Story

Belonging Books came to be in order to fill a need on Cape Cod.

 

In a place where a non-majority person can often feel extremely isolated, lonely and othered, Belonging Books was created to build a community that centers and celebrates BIPOC voices, stories and work, with a dream to provide a physical, year-round gathering place to feel joy, solidarity, safety and belonging.

We build community through programs, events and pop-ups with our value-aligned partners on the Cape.

Erica Tso Haidas, the founder and owner of Belonging Books, is a mother, a racial equity advocate, a pro bono immigration lawyer and a food, nature, and book lover.
